Sets
Arrangement of 3 or 4 cards of the same face value but from different suits.
Sequence
Basically, the sequence is an act of putting 3 or more successive cards of the identical suits in conjunction. Pure sequence and impure sequence are the categories of Sequences.
Pure Sequence
The pure sequence is a combination of 3 or more successive cards of the same suit without the use of a wild or printed joker.
Impure Sequence
The impure sequence is the arrangement of 3 or more cards of the same suit with one or more Joker cards.
Closed Deck
Initially, 13 cards are distributed to each player playing on the table and after that, the leftover cards are kept face down the table. One can pick cards fro this deck during the game.
Open Deck
The pile of cards discarded by the players on the tables during the gameplay is known as the open deck. These cards are visible to all the players on the table. They can be used by any other player if required.
Finish slot
First of all you have to arrange all the 13 cards in the appropriate sets and sequences. Then you can make use of this finish slot to wind up a game.
Valid Declaration
When all the 13 cards are grouped into proper sets and sequences and satisfy all the required conditions. For a valid declaration, the formation of 2 sequences is mandatory out of which 1 compulsory needs to be a pure sequence.
First Drop
The first drop is the drop where the players leave the game in the very first turn.
Middle Drop
An event wherein a player drops the ongoing rummy game anytime after playing his/her first turn. Middle drop results in the loss of 40 points.
Wrong Declaration
If a player takes off his/her hand without completing the requirements of the game then it can be declared as a wrong declaration. And it results in a loss of 80 points.
